Triple Cocoa
Triple Cocoa Black Mulch is made up of hardwood chips that are dyed black, with a carbon black dye. Triple Cocoa Black wood chips absorb heat on warm, sunny days and slow the evaporation of water from soil.
How much to buy?
- 13.5 standard bags of mulch = 1 tractor bucket
- 1 tractor bucket = 1 cubic yard
- 1 cubic yard of mulch will cover 10′ by 10′, area 3″ deep

Triple Cocoa Mulch Calculator
Mulches provide a protective layer over the root system of plants, which protects the plants from harsh weather conditions in the summer and winter months. This protective layer not only provides a barrier to enhance the moisture retention within the beds below (improves moisture retention up to 75%), but it will also add nutritional value back into the soil as the mulch itself decomposes.
Application:
Apply 1-2 inches in depth when adding the mulch for appearance. Apply 3-4 inches in depth when controlling moisture, protecting the plants, or when attempting to control weeds.
